The portafilter is not fully inserted
The portafilter was not inserted completely or while moving it to the right, the portafilter got out of place.
Give the portafilter handle a little push to connect it well into the machine. The machine will start to grind the beans. Always make sure you insert the portafilter into the machine fully, until you hear a click.
